I See You

Dearest,

I am writing to you on this dreary morning because you are the Sun that pierces the clouds of my young and weary heart. I want to say these things to you in a way that speaks to your soul, for you have most certainly spoken to mine and I tremble at the sound of your beauty. My mind has raced a thousand races, and my heart has lept a distance unmeasurable in hope of you.

I knew you the first time I saw you, and the more my eyes were set upon you the more your beauty, in mind and body, grew upon me. I have seen in you something soft, gentle, and breathtaking. But you guard it from the world; your defenses are strong because you've glimpsed the fear that lives in this place. Let me be an unending source of joy and happiness for you; let down your guard and give me the pleasure of protecting you from that which you fear.

The world is large and full of terrors, but we can make a world of our own. A world that lives in our control as a safe haven from the vast desert we must tread. Dearest, all I ask is that you let down your hair, give me your hand, and say that you will let me make you happy. My soul will wait, but my heart must know you and so I present you with this proposal:

When you're with me, you're with me. Nothing more. Nothing less.

From the heart,

korab
