What are we running from?

The storm swept through like a raging bull, its apex only lasting about a half hour until the sun came shining through.

Fear of the unknown has an interesting way of seeping in too deep. What was a threatening downpour, matched with a show of lighting and rumble of thunder, became a metaphor of transition and change. Spring Morning At Last

Crisply now the sun will rise
Breaking down the darkness with its unwavering light
Peaking over hills and flooding distant valleys
Warming the bodies once lost in shadow.

Colors bloom and sounds erupt in life
Filling the emptiness with feeling once more
Slowly we revolve and quickly we evolve
From something that was into something that is.

The young birds and their young wings
Beat the air in anticipation of a fresh meal
While crawlers creep from their winter beds
Mingling with the freshly sprouting leaves.
